Ebury has become FC Universitatea Cluj’s Official FX Partner, pairing the football deal with a new Cluj-Napoca office as it expands its presence in Romania.
- Ebury has signed a strategic partnership with FC Universitatea Cluj, becoming the Romanian football club’s Official FX Partner. The deal brings Ebury’s foreign exchange and international payments expertise into the club’s commercial setup, while adding another European football team to the fintech’s growing sports portfolio.
- The partnership arrives at the same time as Ebury opens a new office in Cluj-Napoca, giving the deal a strong local connection from day one. The new hub expands Ebury’s Romanian footprint beyond Bucharest and brings its team closer to businesses in Cluj and the wider Transylvania region, with the company targeting growing businesses that need support across international payments, FX risk management and cash management.

FC Universitatea Cluj now brings that sports strategy into Romania at the same moment Ebury is putting more people and infrastructure on the ground there.
