- Ebury has extended its partnership with C.D. Leganés for another two seasons, taking the relationship through 2028. The fintech will continue as the club’s Official FX Partner and shorts sponsor, extending an agreement that originally began in November 2024.
- The original partnership made Ebury a Premium Sponsor of Leganés, with its branding placed on the back of the first-team playing shorts. The agreement also saw C.D. Leganés and Blue Crow, the club’s ownership group at the time, use Ebury’s services and benefits, positioning the fintech as a strategic partner in the club’s growth.
- The renewal comes after Ebury Sports Finance supported the recent acquisition of C.D. Leganés, according to Ebury. The club entered a new ownership chapter earlier this summer, with Eduardo Cosín becoming president and 885 Capital becoming the majority shareholder.
- Maurits Zwart, Global Head of Sports at Ebury, said: “Having supported the recent acquisition, we’re especially proud to extend our partnership with Leganés for another two seasons. It reflects the strength of our relationship with the club and our commitment to supporting its ambitions, both on and off the pitch.”
- The partnership also has a direct financial-services component for the club. Aleix Illa, Financial Director of Leganés, said Ebury’s role as Official FX Partner had helped the club optimise its international operations and reduce costs since the collaboration began.
