Standard Chartered’s Liverpool shirt deal enters a new chapter
After 17 years as Liverpool’s front-of-shirt partner, Standard Chartered will move into a Global Partner role from 2027/28 as Turkish Airlines takes over the club’s main shirt sponsorship.
Type: Branding - banking partnership and front-of-shirt sponsorship
Sport: Football / Premier League
Announced: September 2026
- Standard Chartered’s front-of-shirt run with Liverpool is coming to an end after 17 years, but the banking relationship is continuing. The bank will remain Liverpool’s Main Club Partner throughout the 2026/27 season before becoming a Global Partner from the 2027/28 campaign.
- Turkish Airlines will take over the Main Club Partner position from June 2027, with its branding appearing on Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and Academy shirts. The five-year agreement was announced alongside the change to Standard Chartered’s status.
- For Standard Chartered, the shift marks a move from one of football’s most visible sponsorship positions into a broader global partnership with the club. The bank has been Liverpool’s main shirt sponsor since 2010, making the relationship one of the longest-running front-of-shirt partnerships in Premier League football.

- The partnership has also grown well beyond shirt branding during its 17-year run, with Standard Chartered using Liverpool to support its global brand and community initiatives. The bank’s continued Global Partner status means the relationship survives the change in shirt sponsor.
