Stripe becomes a Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup - covering the 2027 match at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 match at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, becoming the Official Payment Solutions Partner to one of sport's most globally watched events.
- Stripe is powering the entire financial infrastructure of the Ryder Cup fan experience end to end. Online ticket sales, hospitality packages, a single checkout experience with Stripe Link for one-click purchasing, local payment methods for the global fanbase, Stripe Terminal across all on-site food and beverage, merchandise and retail, and unified financial reporting across the whole operation.
- Conor McNamara, Chief Revenue Officer EMEA at Stripe, said: "An event like the Ryder Cup - hundreds of thousands of fans with payments running across ticketing, food and beverage, and merchandise - is exactly the kind of scale Stripe operates at every day. We're proud to become a Worldwide Partner and to power the full fan journey, from buying tickets at home, to spending at the golf course."
- Guy Kinnings, CEO at the European Tour group, said: "The ticketing, merchandise and catering operations are significant, with over 70,000 square feet of merchandise space alone at the 2025 match in New York. Stripe's technology platforms will help us to deliver a cashless experience in Ireland with increased speed and convenience for our fans around the world."
- The Adare Manor match in Limerick is particularly significant given Stripe's Irish roots - founded by Patrick and John Collison from Limerick, the Ryder Cup's first Irish edition and Stripe's Worldwide Partner status arriving together is a homecoming story that will generate coverage well beyond the golf and fintech press.
- This is Stripe's second major sport partnership announcement in recent months - the company also signed a multi-year deal with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team earlier this year, signalling a deliberate strategic push into premium sport as a brand and distribution channel. For a payments infrastructure company that has historically let its product do the talking, the Ryder Cup and F1 partnerships together mark a clear shift toward visible, top-tier sport association as a commercial growth lever.
