Bancoagrícola and Mastercard are rewarding debit card spend in El Salvador with a chance to win an exclusive McLaren Mastercard F1 experience at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
- Bancoagrícola and Mastercard have launched a new campaign giving Mastercard Debit cardholders in El Salvador the chance to win a three-day, two-night experience connected to the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team in São Paulo, Brazil. Customers earn an entry for every US$5 spent with their Bancoagrícola Mastercard Debit card, bringing Mastercard’s global F1 sponsorship into an everyday card-spend campaign at local bank level.
- Certain spending categories move customers up the grid faster, with double entries available for purchases at supermarkets, petrol stations, pharmacies, hardware stores and entertainment applications. The campaign runs from 1 July through 15 September 2026, while customers can also pick up additional opportunities through actions including taking out a new Mastercard, switching from another card brand or reactivating an inactive Mastercard.

- Two winners will each be able to bring a guest for the São Paulo experience, which includes travel, accommodation, access to the Sunday programme and exclusive activities tied to the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team. That turns the F1 partnership into something Bancoagrícola can put directly in front of Salvadoran customers at checkout, connecting routine card usage with one of Mastercard’s biggest global sports properties.
- The activation also came off the card statement and into the physical world. Bancoagrícola and Mastercard brought a McLaren F1 simulator to Multiplaza in El Salvador from 24 to 26 July, where customers could participate by showing proof of a same-day Mastercard Debit purchase worth at least US$15. The three fastest drivers also received official McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team prizes, adding another fan-facing layer to the campaign.
- Marvin Rodríguez, Mastercard Country Manager for Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, said Mastercard is using its position as Naming Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team to create experiences that allow fans to live their passions. The Bancoagrícola campaign shows how that top-tier sponsorship can travel through Mastercard’s issuer network, with a global F1 property becoming a local acquisition, reactivation and card-usage campaign in El Salvador.
